Child ADHD Assessments at My Psychology Ireland

Now available | Includes full cognitive assessment (WISC-V)

We are now offering comprehensive ADHD Assessments for children and young people. These assessments are carried out by an experienced psychologist and follow HSE and NICE best-practice guidelines.

What’s Included

Our child ADHD assessment is a detailed, child-centred process that explores attention, learning, emotional wellbeing, and everyday functioning.

The assessment includes:

  • Full developmental intake

  • Conners (Parent & Teacher)

  • SDQ (Parent & Teacher)

  • RCADS (if age-appropriate)

  • WISC-V Cognitive Assessment

  • Parent interview

  • Child clinical & observational session

  • Comprehensive diagnostic report

  • Feedback appointment with recommendations

  • Optional medication referral pathway (if clinically appropriate)

 

About Medication

Psychologists cannot prescribe medication.
However, we have a referral pathway with medical prescribers who will accept our reports, meaning children do notneed to be reassessed elsewhere.
Families are also free to seek medication reviews through CAMHS, GPs, or private psychiatrists.

Report Timeline

Your full report will be completed within 3 weeks of the final appointment (excluding holidays or office closures).
