About the event
Join us for an informative and practical talk with our Occupational Therapist on understanding and supporting children’s sensory needs.
Many children experience challenges with sensory processing — they may be sensitive to sounds, textures, or movement, or seek out certain sensory experiences to feel calm and focused. This talk will help you understand why these differences occur and how to support children effectively throughout their day.
Our OT will share:
What sensory processing means and how it affects children’s emotions and behaviour
How to identify signs of sensory sensitivities or sensory-seeking behaviour
Practical strategies and tools to help children regulate and participate more fully in daily life
This session is suitable for parents, caregivers, educators, and professionals who work with children and want to better understand sensory needs through an Occupational Therapy lens
This is an online event and those registered will also recieve a link to watch the recorded content back for 7 days after the event.
