AP Call: Johanna Kappenberg

Johanna is currently completing her MA in Applied Psychology (Mental Health) at University College Cork, where she is undertaking her clinical placement with CAMHS and is co-developing an intervention for chronic pain stigma.

She began her journey in psychology with a Higher Diploma in Psychology (Conversion) at Trinity College Dublin in 2022, having transitioned from earlier studies in politics. Since then, she has gained broad experience across research and practice, volunteering with several mental health charities and organisations. She also works as a research assistant on a range of projects, and supported unaccompanied minors in her role as a Social Care Worker prior to commencing her Master’s degree.

Johanna joined My Psychology Ireland earlier this month and hopes to pursue a Clinical Doctorate in the near future
