About the event

Training: Initial assessments when working with children. This event will be delivered online via zoom & a recorded version will be available for those unable to attend the live version.


Who is this event for?

This event is for practitioners who are in training or who have limited experience in working therapeutically with children & young people. This training is applicable to psychologists and therapists working with children across various settings but is particularly relevant to practitioners working within the private sector. 


What is covered in this event?

We take you through various themes and areas for consideration in an inital assessment stage in working with children & young people. 

Discussions about parental consultations, confidentiality, risk assessments, intake procedures, obtaining background & historical data & liasion with other professionals. This is an online webinar for 1 hour. 


Who is delivering this event?

This event is delivered by Dr Patricia Barber, Counselling Psychologist. Dr Barber is the lead psychologist at My Psychology Ireland and has worked externsively with children & young people in private practice.
