Working with OCD: Practitioner Training (2 Sessions, Recorded Access Included)
Overview:
This intensive two-part training is designed for practitioners who want to develop practical skills in understanding, assessing, and treating OCD in both adults and children. Across two interactive 3-hour sessions, you’ll explore real case examples, evidence-based interventions, differential diagnosis, and resources that you can apply directly in your clinical practice.
What You’ll Learn:
Understanding OCD: Clinical symptoms, DSM‑5 criteria, and presentations in adults and children.
Assessment: Using Y‑BOCS, CY‑BOCS, and structured clinical interviews; screening for comorbidities.
Types of OCD: Contamination, order, hoarding, sexual, scrupulosity, and other presentations.
Case Examples: Practical application with adult and child vignettes.
Interventions: Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), CBT approaches, mindfulness strategies, and parent-led interventions for children.
Differential Diagnosis: Distinguishing OCD from ADHD, Autism.
Format:
